Chopta Tungnath Trek Experience
Story Photos And Videos
There are journeys that take you to beautiful places, and then there are journeys that quietly change something inside you. My solo trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila was one of those.
I started the climb before dawn, surrounded by silence, with only the sound of my footsteps and the cold mountain breeze. As I reached Chandrashila, the sky slowly began to change its colors. The first rays of the sun touched the snow-covered Himalayan peaks, revealing breathtaking views of Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Trishul, and many other majestic ranges. It felt as if the entire Himalayas had awakened in front of me.
Then came the most magical part soft snowflakes began to fall. Watching the sunrise while standing in fresh snowfall is something words can barely describe. Everything around me turned quiet, pure, and timeless. For a few moments, nothing else existed no deadlines, no worries, no expectations. Just the mountains, the snow, and a deep sense of peace.
Traveling alone taught me that solitude is not loneliness. Sometimes, when you walk alone, you hear your own heart more clearly. The mountains have a way of reminding you how small your problems are and how vast life truly is.
I returned with photographs, but the real souvenir was the peace I found within myself. Chandrashila didn't just give me a beautiful sunrise it gave me a memory that will stay with me forever. Some places are not meant to be visited just once; they become a part of who you are.
